MyCare for Patients · Last updated: September 3, 2026
MyCare for Patients (“the app”) lets you connect with your care team from your iPhone — joining video visits, receiving appointment notifications, and sharing your location with your care team during a session if you need help.
This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the iOS app only. The app is intended for use in the United States.
Who we are
The app is provided by MyCare Solutions (“we”, “us”). Contact us at:

What the app collects
Information you give us
When you sign in and use the app, you provide the information your care team needs to treat you — your account credentials, appointment details, and anything you say or show during a video visit. This information is handled by MyCare’s healthcare services, not stored on your device beyond your active session.
Camera and microphone
Used only during a video visit, so your care team can see and hear you. Video and audio are streamed live for the visit. The app does not record them.
Location
When you’re in a session, you can share your location with your care team so they know where you are if you need help. We use this only for that purpose.
- We request “While Using the App” permission only — the app never tracks your location in the background.
- We take a single location reading at the moment it is needed. We do not build a location history on your device.
- You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in Settings ▶ MyCare for Patients ▶ Location. The rest of the app keeps working.
Device and diagnostic information
To make the app work and to fix problems, we collect:
- A random installation identifier created on your device (not your Apple ID, phone number, or advertising ID).
- Your device model, iOS version, and app version.
- Whether camera, microphone, notification, biometric, and location permissions are granted — the on/off state only, never the underlying data.
- A push notification token from Apple, used to deliver appointment and visit alerts.
- Crash reports, performance data, and error logs, through our error-monitoring provider (Sentry). Production builds are configured not to send personal information in these reports.
What we do NOT do
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
- We do not use your health information for advertising or marketing profiling.
- The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Face ID / Touch ID
You can optionally lock the app behind Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. This check happens entirely on your iPhone through Apple’s system. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never available to us.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we send you alerts about appointments and incoming visits. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings ▶ Notifications.
How your information is protected and shared
- All communication between the app and our servers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
- Sensitive identifiers stored on your device are kept in the iOS Keychain.
- We share information with service providers who help us run the service — cloud hosting, push notification delivery (Apple), and error monitoring (Sentry) — under contracts that limit them to providing those services.
- We may disclose information when required by law.
Health information. Information about your care is protected health information under HIPAA. It is handled by your healthcare provider and by us as their business associate, under the provider’s Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable federal and state law.
How long we keep information
Diagnostic and crash data is retained on a rolling basis by our error-monitoring provider and then deleted. Health and account information is retained by your healthcare provider under its own record-retention obligations.
Your choices
- Permissions. Camera, microphone, location, notifications, and Face ID can each be granted or revoked at any time in iOS Settings. The app has an in-app shortcut to that Settings page.
- Delete the app. Uninstalling removes the installation identifier and all app data from your device.
- Your health records. To access, correct, or request deletion of your health information, contact your healthcare provider or write to us at the address above.
U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, request a copy, request correction or deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us at the email above.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information without a parent or guardian acting on their behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and post the new version at the link shown on the App Store listing. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
